About Louise
I LOVE MY JOB!
I am an enthusiastic fitness instructor, passionate about Pilates and believe it is the basis for all exercise and sport. I truly believe it can benefit everybody regardless of their fitness level, age or gender.
I am keen to grow as an instructor, and I am naturally very inquisitive, so I regularly attend classes and courses to further develop my knowledge and understanding.
I have taught various disciplines for 30 years plus, and always keep up my training, even through two pregnancies and I only teach things I can do myself and that I know work.
I have two daughters who have both suffered with scoliosis . One has had a spinal fusion operation. The other has a disability and wore a back brace for 2 years, she now does Pilates to control the scoliosis and keep her body as strong as she can. I have worked closely with physiotherapists for a number of years to help them strengthen their core and back muscles. I was constantly advised to take them to Pilates, so I decided to train as a Pilates instructor myself. I am familiar with working with all kinds of conditions and disabilities, so am able to help everyone.
Pilates has helped them both and I have seen the benefits first hand. I am addicted to Pilates and love the changes it has made to my body and way of training. I am fortunate to be able to help others feel the same benefits as I do.
I have a great understanding and experience in anatomy and physiology, with a level 3 qualification, which enables me to achieve the best results with my clients. I am an accredited instructor with HFE (Health and Fitness Education).
I am also a member of Fitness Professionals and am insured by them.
